Our department, through interagency agreements with the Office of the Governor,  Criminal Justice Division and the Division of Emergency Management, and with the assistance of the TCOG Criminal Justice Advisory Committee  and Homeland Security Advisory Committee, facilitates the development and maintenance of a regional criminal justice community plan, a regional response plan, a regional catastrophic communications plan, assists local governments and organizations research and apply for federal, state, local and private grant funding for special projects, and administers the grant process for the Governor’s Office for criminal justice funds and homeland security funds.
